Omaha beach mod men of war2/13/2024 ![]() ![]() Also, some of you have requested this scenario so I'm happy to show you this. So this scenario is historical but definitely not very realistic since the beach is too short and there were not such big concrete MG bunkers. The map you see is my creation and it is made to look similar to Ryan film as well. 6th of June d-day landings (especially omaha beach) is probably one of my favorite battles of WW2 because of it's brutality and uniqueness. So today you see the same battle scene, only a bit shorter version but mainly all important is shown and I gave my best really to make it as similar as this film. You can alter this map in any way you like, but should you share this with the community as well, please credit me, Warfare11 and Robz, and any other modmakers whose content you used. Here's one of the greatest omaha beach landing scene that we've seen in film history (Saving Private Ryan). Take control of the Rangers on the right flank and take control of the hill, from there on flank the German defenses. Since this is not a real mission, you can fill it in whichever way you like, but I find it easiest and most fun to follow the steps I named above. Eradicate all german resistance in the area. Your goal is to move further inland and establish a strong foothold in France. When you've finally broken through, the allies will be able to land more reinforcements and support you with more tanks, mobile artillery and mortars. My advice is to focus on them if you choose to play yourself. On the far right flank, at the coastal town, the 2nd Ranger Batallion will try to capture the hill and from there flank the rest of the German defenders. Their only support will be the few DD tanks that made it to shore and the USAF. Along the beach US troops of the 29th Infantry Division will land and try to break through the Atlantikwall. ![]() They'll hold, so you can focus your attention on the landing troops. As they make their approach, some airborne troops who have captured a manor in the countryside prepare a defense against german troops that want to drive them out. It's 6 june 1944, 6:30 AM, the landing boats have just taken off and are headed to the Normandy shore. However it is still playable and fun with low fps. Low-end computers will surely have low framerates. WARNING: This is a very intensive scenario with a lot of scripts and stuff going on. The map was made by Warfare11, I just made these scripts. Huge thanks to him, as he didn't only make this mod, but also included this particular map in there and allowed me to use it. Right now this is just scripts with no objectives or victory conditions, and it's intended for the editor. That's exactly what I did here, I've been scripting this D-Day scenario for my own enjoyment, but it got so big (and in my opinion epic) that I wanted to share it with the community. Hello everyone, first of all I'd like to say I'm not a mapper or modder, but I love making my own scenarios in the editor. The included video is of the first version, played by Diplexheated. Updates include: new and edited scripts, new skins for soldiers and weapons and added units. Thus I decided to update the mission and re-upload it to the workshop. Since then, Robz Realism Mod has been greatly updated and many complementary mods have been released. Hello again guys! Some of you might remember my succesful editor mission of Omaha Beach that was posted in late 2016. *RobZ Realism Mod and Skins for RobZ required, Guns for RobZ and Metatrons Mappack recommended (adds extra weapons and equipment to soldiers)* ![]() German defenders now also have more accurate TOE, and part of an Osttrüppen platoon has been added About 2/3ds of a Ranger company, 2nd Ranger Batallion will also land each wave Attacking Americans now have accurate TOE: every wave an entire company of the 116th Regiment, 29th Infantry Division will be attacking the beach, along with a squad of the 121st Engineer Combat Batallion (29th ID) Because of this, sadly decreased attack waves from 5 to 4 and thinned out German defences. Redesigned the mission to not crash due to memory allocation To load the map in the editor, go to f3-mode (press f3), pause and click load, click bloody omaha, and load 0.mi, then press start. I will not respond to questions which answers are stated here. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ASKING UNNECESSARY QUESTIONS ![]()
